*i'm no supermodel,
Eyes: Eyes the color of of a greyish green and of a thin, almond shape, they're incredibly expressive--and give a very mysterious edge to his appearance.
Skin: Tan
Build: Fit--although Kadar is certainly not the strongest man around, he can very easily throw his weight around and hold his own when it is needed.
Appearance:
Wherever he goes, Kadar's appearance seems to draw stares. This may be for the fact that he simply looks...different than most people. He stands at five feet ten inches, and weighs roughly 155 pounds. Of Indian descent, his skin is a bronzed color. Place him in America and he would seem dark skinned--in India though, his skin would be considered on the light side.
One could spend a fair deal of time describing the rest of his body--his powerful muscles, his ability to move with impeccable grace, but what really grabs people's attention is his what sits above the shoulders. He has short-cut, black hair that nicely accentuates his dark skin. He has a good deal of stubble over his jaw-line, chin, and upper-lip, along with a small goatee under his bottom lip. On many people this may look sloppy. Not on Khan. The hair gives him a distinguished, masculine edge. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. If this is true, than Khan's eyes are the greatest trick he can play on people. As if to emphasize this, he tends to wear a thin layer of eyeliner around them. They are of a light greenish-grey color, with golden flecks in them if you look close enough. When he's staring straight at you, it's hard to not feel incriminated. They are incredibly intense, and have been known to take many breaths away.
*this is me,
Weaknesses:
-Prone to sudden mood-swings: Though he can put on a near perfect mask when in a neutral mood, it doesn't take much to change his mood and potentially "break character".
-Fire: He would never admit this, but Kadar is scared of fire.
-Inability to tolerate people for long periods of time: Self explanatory. He can really only stand being around them for as long as he absolutely has to. They absolutely disgust him.
-Pride: His own pride and self-serving ways get him into quite a bit of trouble
-Lack of friends or camaraderie: They say there is a strength in numbers. If that's true, than Kadar is truly lacking. He even avoids other villains for the most part.
Strengths
-Extremely intelligent: A keen wit and bright mind has saved Kadar in many situations
-Lack of remorse: This makes it possible for him to just about anything--without a moral conscience telling him what the world expects him to think is right or wrong, he has very few limitations to what he can do.
-Master of disguise: Kadar can blend in just about anywhere. The jungle, a ball--he's like a chameleon, capable of fitting anywhere he wants on a surface level
-Manipulation and Intimidation: Really, Kadar has a pathetically easy time getting people to do what he wants.
-Unaffected by magic & hypnosis: From an early age, Kadar has realized that he is simply untouched by magic and hypnosis.
Secrets He really loves stalking people--fun fact.
Personality:
There is but one word that perfectly encompasses the entity that is Kadar: Sociopathic
This is displayed most prominently in his complete disregard for the rights, safety, and lives of other human beings. He shows and feels no remorse for any pain he may inflict on others--and if he did, it would merely be a guise if the situation required it. He is completely self-serving, and cares only for his own agenda; though he does not consider himself 'evil'. He merely considers himself in the right, and not a slave to moral obligations and petty laws such as other people. He takes the law into his own hands, and only acts as he deems correct. He is completely indifferent to the suffering of others'.
If you see Kadar in a public situation, you may not believe this to be true. He acts in a refined, charismatic way. None can doubt that he is charming, if not a bit sly. But what you are really seeing is a mere facade. His conformation to social norms and laws is just the shell worn to avoid suspicion in public. He appears to be a charming, well-spoken man, and has even sustained a few long-term relationships. But in reality, to him any relationships he has are in name only. They were ended whenever it suited him, or whenever his 'partner' stopped being useful. All relationships, all human beings, for that matter, are shallow and without meaning to him.
Yet he, who is so dis-attached from his own emotions, has the acute ability of seeing and exploiting those in others'. Finding other people's weaknesses is a special talent, and through manipulation and intimidation, is quite capable of getting just about anything he wants out of people with minimal effort.
He does not feel love, nor shame or repentance. He tends to express. Though you will find many people who will tell you that he feels things deeply and expresses himself often, these are all feigned and acted things. Truthfully, he just knows how people expect him to act and feel, and does so to their expectations--and always this is for an ulterior motive. For those who come to know him, this becomes very obvious quickly. While he can get "emotional" over seemingly insignificant matter, he will remain completely unmoved by things that ought to be upsetting; it is as if he is only playing a guessing game with people in every-day interactions.
It takes a keen eye, but there are certain aspects about him that ought to instantly pin him as a sociopath. The first would be his grand sense of self-righteousness and self-importance. The second is his need to dominate and control all types of situations. The third would simply be in the way he speaks to and treats people--and that he only speaks to or acknowledges people who can help him reach a goal.
*this is what I can do,
Abilities:
-Can control animals: He has never been sure if it was out of fear or...well, absolute horror over what would happen if they didn't obey him, but he has a way with animals big and small that makes them bend to his will. He can give them commands, and they will almost always follow.
-Cat-like reflexes: If you ever have a high-jump competition, Kadar will probably be taking the gold. He has a speed and agility almost unmatched
-Daggers, knives, and throwing blades: Give him anything sharp, and Kadar is one of the most dangerous men you'll ever meet. His weapon of choice is a blade between each finger, making claws.
-Belly-dancing: Well, if you can consider it an 'ability', Kadar is quite good at belly-dancing
*my life story,
Hometown: Mumbai, India (Though it was called Bombay when he was born)
Parents:
He never knew his real father, and can't remember his birth mother
Arthur Terrington (adoptive father) -- A father in the most pitiful sense of the word, the man is long deceased.
Siblings: He had three adoptive brothers. Had
History:
(Borrowing quite heavily from the original "Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling :} )
Although it is impossible to say who Kadar's father was, his earliest traceable link is to his mother. She gave him his name: 'Kadar', as his given Muslim name, and 'Lungri' as a cruel name from his mother shortly after his birth--the name meaning 'The Lame One' in Hindu. Cruel, yes--also true. Kadar had been born with a disability in one leg, rendering him crippled. Her situation was tough, living in the slums and raising a child all by herself. She was bitter towards her son, especially since she knew that he would never rise above the poverty with his disability. Eventually, she left him for this, abandoning the three year old at an over-packed orphanage where she assumed her would die.
Life in the orphanage was less than pleasant. Constantly picked on for his leg, he almost always went hungry. It was survival of the fittest there, with food so scarce, and seeing as he didn't have the physical ability to provide for himself, he relied on mental prowess to help him. Only from his cunning wit (even at such a young age) did he survive.
Kadar truly came into his luck when he was nine. A British regent had come to the orphanage looking to adopt and, seeing Kadar, instantly signed the papers for the lame boy. Though the man always claimed it was out of the goodness of his heart, Kadar knew the truth even then. It was a mere publicity stunt on the man's part, hoping to earn the admiration of his fellow regents. As if to say 'Look how kind I am, I'm fixing the most pitiful child possible, and giving him the life of a rich British boy!'. True to his intent, the man didn't waste a moment getting Kadar to a hospital to fix his leg.
After moving Kadar to his isolated jungle mansion (I know, right?) on the upscale part of the city, the man left directly after Kadar's cast came off--leaving the child in the care of a governess. He never answered Kadar's question as to why he couldn't come back to England with him. Perhaps it was the clear way in which Kadar announced that he hated people and would most certainly not accompany his father back to town, or perhaps it was merely the fact that Kadar was no more a real 'son' to him than your average house-cat. Either way, Kadar was granted an exquisite treasure that so few children are allowed--the means and security of absolute freedom.
He spent nearly all of his time in the jungle, completely ignoring his governess' pleas to never leave the safety of his house. The jungle felt more natural to him--often, the child would disappear from the mansion for days or weeks at a time, simply meandering through the jungle. More than the mansion, and far more than the slums, it felt like home. And in his few short years full of bullying and insults, it was the only place he felt like he was something more than the useless, crippled child. These creatures were ones that had to bow to him, and no one else. He found that he had a way over them. And over the years, despite his small size, nearly all animals turned to flee when he came around or, with minimal effort and careful cognition, that he could almost control them. And though it may sound strange, his feelings towards these jungle animals are the closest he's ever come to love. At the very least, he feels a degree of mutual understanding with them.
It was almost as if he was living in two completely different worlds. On one he was the feared Khan, master of the jungle. On the other he was Kadar, the young Indian boy dressed in silks and ties, and paraded about when his "father" needed another publicity shoot. This went on for many years.
In time, Kadar came across his first 'poacher' within the jungle. He watched the man aim, and shoot down a black panther. For the first time in his life, Kadar genuinely felt anger. Who was this man in his forest?? It was his domain! He would come to find that the man was his father's friend, who also told him that he wanted to get some hunting done before his father destroyed the land to build a game reserve--which, he explained with a laugh, was going to happen soon, if Kadar's father had any say.
Thus ended the existence of the mild-mannered Kadar, the boy who did what was told and was content to terrify jungle creatures. It was an awakening for him. He began to see more clearly the truth. Men were going to tear down the forest for their own selfish reasons, to encroach on his territory. They were going to take what was his, what was beautiful, and turn it into yet another playground for the rich and idle.
He was not going to have it.
He sent out a letter, asking his father and 'brothers' to come down to visit for some hunting. They came, and he greeted them with the most sincere pseduo-kindness he could muster. They came with their rifles and knives, mouths wide in a smile, and asking where the best place to hunt would be. Oh, the northwest side of the jungle, beside the waterfall, Kadar said. They left in the morning, and Kadar never saw them again. He had sent them to the 'man-eaters', as they were called--the most feared tigers in all of India, for their willingness to attack and devour a human being. With tears in his eyes, sixteen year old Kadar publicly accepted the role of the man's heir, and stated that he would take over the man's business and finances.
From there, it was smooth sailing. He had his course clearly set out, and revenge was the name of the game. With access to his father's files and databases, he found the names of all of his co-conspirators, all of the men who had been (and still were) planning on destroying his jungle. He solemnly vowed to kill every one of them, and their children if they had them. He would send a message to everyone watching: There was only death for those who tried to take what was his.
Over the years, they all slowly fell. He killed everyone who so much as entered his jungle, or kidnapped and gave them to the gnashing teeth of the man-eaters. Men women and children alike, all met the same fate if they had been affiliated with his father's plan, or if they tried to poach on his land.
There was but one blunder within the many years of his assassinations. Only one young boy, an infant, survived his onslaught. Saved by an older male and taken to safety. Kadar cursed his failure, but swore that he would eventually find and kill the boy.
Despite the constant stream of murders that occurred over the years, life continued normally on the exterior. He went to all of the galas and events expected of a man in his position, and did so with the utmost charm and reverence. As far as anyone could have told, Kadar was a normal, albeit charismatic entrepreneur.
One day, he found the door to his mansion broken in, and a squad of armored men invading. He thought the worst--that his crimes had somehow been discovered, despite the meticulous care that he had taken to hide them. Yet to his surprise, they announced something quite strange to him. They told him that they had learned that there was a dangerous spirit living within him--and that while they could tell it was dormant from his normal life-style, they needed to take him somewhere where they could monitor him should it ever awaken. Shere Khan, they told him, the man-eating tiger from The Jungle Book. Kadar smiled and agreed. It was about time for him to find a new land to dominate anyways.
