The year is 2014, the Cullen's, and Jake's pack move to Port Arthur, Texas. Renesmee is turning 6 years old this year, with the body of a 16 year old but the mind of a person well beyond her age. This year she will finally join the pack, and her family in high school. The Cullen’s have taken up their usual cover story. Carlisle has found a job at a local hospital with Esme being a housewife, and the kids are all in school. Edward, Emmett, and Alice, are taking the last name of Cullen, and Jasper and Rosalie have Hale. Bella and Renesmee will use Mason as their last name Seeing as that was Edward's last name when he was human.
When the Cullen's moved here they didn't know there was another pack of shape-shifters nearby, along with roaming nomad vampires, the new pack doesn't know of vegetarian vampires, and are hunting down the nomads one by one, what will happen when they meet the Cullen’s? Or when they meet Jake's pack, will there be a fight over who the alpha dog is in this territory? How will Jasper feel about returning to Texas? Will Maria be there with the nomads?
